Charles Hackney is an Air Force veteran, a career real estate professional, and your Manatee County Property Appraiser.
Through his time in office, Charlie has always put the citizens of Manatee County first.
He strives to run an office that’s efficient, accessible, transparent, and operates with a culture of customer service.
Charlie Hackney is a 50-year Manatee County resident. He graduated from Manatee Junior College (now known as State College of Florida) with an Associates of Arts degree. Charlie earned a BS in Real Estate from Florida State University.
Prior to his election to the Manatee County Property Appraiser office, Charles Hackney built a 15-year career in the private sector of the real estate industry. Charlie holds a Certified Florida Appraiser designation from the Florida Department of Revenue.
Outside his official duties, Charlie Hackney is an active member of the Manatee County community, with service to organizations like the Kiwanis Club of Bradenton, Foundation for Manatee Community College, Boys & Girls Club of Manatee, and the Hernando DeSoto Historical Society.
Charlie and his wife Niki live in Ellenton.
